Awaze Labs is a small, independent shop for simple personal-health hardware: devices you can use at home in seconds, explained in plain language.
Our first is the Awaze Pulse O₂, a fingertip pulse oximeter. Clip it on, press once, and it shows your blood-oxygen level (SpO₂) and pulse rate on a bright OLED screen. It works by photoplethysmography (PPG): red and infrared light through your fingertip, read by a sensor on the other side.
Honest about what it does
It measures blood oxygen and pulse rate. It does not measure blood sugar, blood pressure or anything else. It's sold for general wellness and spot-checks, not to diagnose or monitor a medical condition, and things like cold hands, movement, nail polish and skin pigmentation can affect any pulse oximeter's reading. If you're short of breath, have chest pain, or your lips or nails look bluish, get medical help, whatever a reading says.
